All I'm saying is, historically, we always have the GB meets on Saturday evenings. Sunday evening is not really a good day for everyone to meet up for dinner.

ZCarMan 09-07-2011 04:06 PM

The last two annual Gordon Biersch meets took place on Saturday afternoon/evening depending on when you arrived. Saturdays allow for folks to not have to worry about driving if they drink, and of course if you are at Gordon Biersch you most likely will drink. Not everyone but most. I had been waiting to announce The Third Annual GB Meet until GB begins celebrating Oktoberfest with their liter specials, which is a good time to do it. Just my two cents, FWIW.

I used to say that when I was at sea for months on end. There are no weekends at sea, just another 18 or 20 hour work day. It sucks, but thanks for doing your time.

Calm down dude, I was just messing with you. We did Sunday because I couldn't do Friday or Saturday. No one else really showed much interest in coming so it wasn't an issue.

yes, but we'll post that in another thread so as not to jack this one for the 17 Sep cruise to Williamsburg. Keep your eyes open for it soon.

Please subscribed to the C & C Williasburg thread or check in our FB page because the forecast for Thursday, Friday & Saturday is calling for scattered rain down here. However we all know how some of these forecast work....

We will post if the event is rescheduled in advanced so you guys don't waist your time traveling down here.

Thanks

:) Maybe she'll just keep going from the night before...

What's the story with the trip home? We might decide to peel off and visit the kid in College down at Christopher Newport...

I would think we'd be leaving as we pleased, and if ppl want to ride together, they can arrange that. That's how we usually do these caravans.

ZCarMan 09-14-2011 05:34 PM

What Al just said. We can just make it everyone does their own thing and leaves when they wanna when the meet is over or as a group depending on what folks would care to do. No pressure, its all good.

I'll be watching the thread from Jose to make sure we know if it is actually going to happen or not. Plan would be to meet up at the Starbucks in Fairlakes and head out from there. If we depart at 6AM we'll get there around 8AM.

RandyD 09-15-2011 08:05 AM

p.s. I'm planning on seeing you at 6 Jon... Looking forward to it.

PapoZalsa 09-15-2011 09:49 PM

We still watching the weather down here, it rained like crazy this afternoon/evening. We will make a decision tomorrow!

Thanks!

Jose, if it gets canceled, Sam has my number. Please if possible decide before 6am, because that's when we aim to leave FFX. :icon17:

You mean 4:30 AM so you don't have to schlep it over so early...

I'm already committed to that time. If I'm in FFX at 6 and Williamsburg gets canceled, I'll probably head home. Then it's just 2 hours I've wasted, rather than 6. :D

GM_Traitor3.5 09-16-2011 11:48 AM

Weather for Williamsburg tomorrow is:

"Showers early, becoming a steady rain later in the day. High 68F. Winds NE at 10 to 15 mph. Chance of rain 70%. Rainfall near a half an inch"

Hope they're wrong, for ya'lls sake!
