Me and my cousin are planning on doing the same. We may attend the dinner event, but just eat dinner before or afterwards.

exsanity 05-10-2017 03:57 PM

I have been underwhelmed by ZDayZ dinners. :ugh:

b1adesofcha0s 05-10-2017 07:13 PM

So far we have myself (biryani aka Pakistani chicken and rice), Aniceh (tuna casserole?), and Scott (mac & cheese) helping out with dinner. Any other volunteers? Steve and Deb will be bringing down a grill that we can use to prepare food as well. I'm assuming we'll probably do most of the activity/meal planning once we get down there.

It was so famous I didn't think it needed to be mentioned explicitly.

blades, is there anything Julie and I can grab in knoxville before we pull in (on thursday night)

exsanity 05-11-2017 06:45 PM

Is the MAZOC boat coming for the fishing?

Z Stig 05-12-2017 07:26 AM

I'll be checking this on Wednesday morning before I leave Gatlinburg, so put a list here for shopping and I'll try to bring it in. I'll have a cooler, so even perishables will be fine.

How are we with citronella candles, bug spray, etc... Fire "Magic"?

See you Wed!

Steve was concerned that they overfished the lake when he had his boat there before and it just wasn't fair to the fish, so he is leaving it in VA. :icon17:

Not that I can think of now. If we find that we need supplies during the week, I'll post them up in here so you, Michael, or Dave can grab them on your way down. If you want to help with the cooking for one of the meals, feel free to grab supplies for that though.

Not sure, I wasn't planning on bringing any myself. I think the tiki torches we used last year worked pretty well, so we may grab those on the way down. I think someone mentioned the fire witchcraft was available at the general store. If you have some though, we'll definitely make use of it. Steve still needs to be initiated into the witchcraft. :icon17:

We plan on running in to town for supplies to make dinner for our night (still deciding what it is, may depend on store supplies) and we'd be happy to pick up things for easy meals, such as burgers and hot dogs (both meat and veggie) and whatever else might be needed. I suspect we'll end up with way more food than is needed, as usual.

With respect to our night to prepare dinner, now is the time to voice dietary restrictions and preferences. I'm not locked in to tuna casserole and I want to make sure whatever we make is good for as close to all of the group as we can get. :)

Blades, in case you didn't know, you can request veggie burgers for the rec hall dinners on Friday and Saturday, and they're actually pretty good.

eastwest2300 05-12-2017 02:47 PM

Aniceh, make something delicious. :yum::yum:

I'm planning on bringing some with me, so I'll just save myself the cost of the dinners. Thanks for the info though.
