Emily, thanks for the offer. You're right it is a bit far. I'm thinking of Shenandoah River State Park. They have some nice riverfront picnic areas with grills and good smallmouth fishing for those interested. :D

OK guys, it looks like August 1 has won out. Tentative location is Shenandoah River State Park. I'll update in a few days.
