Yeah I wouldnt mind having a g8, probably going to be rebadged as a chevy.

Isnt there like a million threads about this? Anyways... played the demo a bunch ... still a ways away from the refinement I seek... Basically rebadged forza 2 w / more cars and tracks and better graphics... the realism is still way off... for both the cars and the driving feel...

I don't care for OMG INSANE REALISM. I look for the game to drive cars I'd never afford, do things I'd probably die doing in real life, and just have a good time. Want realism? That's what the Z is for!

^+1, I think its more realstic than anything else on a console.

Well Forza 2 was the best racing game put out that I've played. So as long as they don't somehow make it worse then it'll still be amazing. I agree with Andy too, it's the most realistic game I've played.

The more I play the demo I realized something I didnt realize before. When I 1st fired up the demo, I was like wtf did they do. The cars handled much grippier then fm2. I wasnt taking the corners any faster than fm2 but just felt more stable. I was later reading on FM.net that they actually "fixed" the tire model which has always been a problem in FM2. Some would make the argument that it made the game easier...ie. arcady. I disagree with this, I found in FM2 even in stock cars would destroy tires at full throttle no matter the hp. This is not realistic. I am glad they made this revision.

sucks there in no R35. maybe they didnt want to show polyphony technology in the cockpit view. or maybe there was some rights dispute..... regardless its a HUGE ommission

yea. I wish it was in there too. You are probably right. Maybe polyphone figured to ask nissan to keep the rights away from turn 10 in order to secure the job on the satnav

i mean it was in the new NFS but that is a multi platform franchise and is a little differnet than the head to head turn 10 vs polyphony. they were able to get the Super GT GT-Rs but they are branded by the race team not Nissan... i think its gotta be some type of rights issue. or they are holding out for a stronger DLC pack????

could be. Or maybe polyphony has limited access to gtr until like a year or sol. Im not treally sure I havent heard anything about it. Although they do have the r33 which is a nice suprise.

I picked it up this morning and ran through 2 of the circuits before I had to come into work. Can't really give much of a review yet as I only played about 20 minutes and racing my unmodified Nissan Versa just doesn't do it for me, yet, lol.

I bought the 370z, late last night, and I threw on all nismo parts. It was so much fun to drive.

I wish my stock car sounded like the stock 370z in the game :( It sounds much louder and angry in the game than in real life.

Just collected my copy today.
Went to the SuperGP on the Gold Coast and there was a Xbox Overdrive party at one of the clubs.
Was the night of the released of Forza 3 so they had a bunch of 360's sitting around with some promo girls taking peoples name/lap time/mob number.

2 fastest laps compete against each other up on stage later that night. Was myself vs some lanky nerd guy.

Problem for lanky nerd guy was, on all the time trial xbox's they raced in Auto, tcs, stc etc. So come the final race vs me when they turned all those off, he just sat there spinnig his wheels and locking up all 4 at every corner. Needless to say I won and scored myself the game and an Xbox 360.

Was a shallow victory but hey, it was a club and i had heaps to drink.

Just got enough credits to buy the 370z. How do I upgrade the car with mods? I don't see that feature, does it open up later in the game?

i require proof of said promo girls.

btw did anybody get the collector's edition? the one with the USB stick? i upgraded to it b/c i had a gamestop GC that i didn't think i'd be using anytime soon...

no you can upgrade immediately, its called upgrade shop its in the menu before the actual race event menu

ive got a 370z with the Nismo kit and some gunmetal TE37's

I got it yesterday. It's pretty fun, but nothing groundbreaking. I know it has me wishing I had a 1080p HDTV instead of 720... but alas.

I am pretty disappointed that the 370Z sport package doesn't include the sport package spoiler. I am tempted to write them and ask wtf is up with that.

I played this a lot last night. Like posted above, if you played Forza 2, it's nothing groundbreaking. But it's still very fun none the less.

Had to get the black 370z with black Volk TE37, naturally.... if only you could put some vynal on the wheels for the time attack stripe....

I was dissapointed that it won't let you paint the factory wheels.

I have both a 720P/1080i TV and a 1080P TV and comparing them back to back is negligible...the difference is so small its not worth upgrading.

1080p is worth getting if the tv is 47"+

I have a 37" 1080p but the resolution is really a waste unless you sit directly in front of it @ 4-feet away. The 55" in the living room on the other hand looks great from anywhere.

I picked the game up yesterday (preorder) and i like it a lot but other than the cockpit view its really that too awful different than Forza 2

^ cockpit view is a disapointing aspect of FM3 the roll cage in the Super GT GT-R looks like its from a old PC race game........ NFS Shift had a lot better rendered interiors, GT5 is gonna crush it in this aspect ..hell even prologue looked better inside.

over all i like the game though, has a clean minimal feel to the menu screens, physics are good and the game doesnt seem frustrating to me..yet. i give it like a 8 out of 10
