I am about 15 minutes away from finding out.

Last night's anniversary date at La V (french restaurant) was very enjoyable

( Click to show/hide )
Instead of Uber, I made the decision to drive us and watch my alcohol consumption. We were running late, so I had the Z get us there on time ;) My focus was to be on food instead of alcohol, and thankfully the restaurant didn't make that difficult. Their cocktail menu left much to be desired, and the Pinot Noir that was recommended by their 'expert' was way too fruity for my tastes (to his credit, the selection was very limited by our budget :icon17:).

For the food we started with a fantastic off-menu special, veal cheek. My wife continued with a soup that was basically all cream lol but tasty. I doubled up this round and had a basil escargot that had more basil than I would have liked but not so much that it ruined the dish. In addition to the escargot, I had a huge bowl of mussels in a white wine broth with cauliflower and ginger. The mussels were amazing, every one of them plump and juicy :yum: The entrees were very good as well. We shared the herb brined pork chop and bacon wrapped monkfish. I don't even remember the names of the deserts, but they were excellent. My wife had sort of a frozen fruit creme brulee thing, and I had what amounted to sugary donuts with a variety of dipping sauces like apple thyme jelly and butterscotch.

We hit our favorite watering spot, Trudy's, on our way home, so I could wet my whistle with a nice Mexican Martini. My wife had one too and was pretty drunk after since she had a strong cocktail pre-dinner and a glass of Prosecco with desert in addition to most of the bottle of wine. Normally that much would have her hugging the toilet at the end of the night, but she was recently in Paris on a company retreat, which built up her tolerance a good bit since all they do is drink :icon17:

On the ride home, she was being loud and talkative and somehow got it in her head that we were going to walk around and look at Christmas lights. Its ~45F and there's like one house every 10-20 houses that has lights in our neighborhood :ugh2: So I made a compromise. We went home, changed into comfy pajamas, grabbed the dog, and rolled around the neighborhood in the Acura looking at Christmas lights

And we didn't forget sexy time either :happydance:

Also, Texas won their basketball game, and the Eagles lost their football game, putting the Cowboys in excellent position to win the division

So besides the nice Sacramento police officer who pulled up along side me at a stop light (he asked nicely for me to slow down and then wished me a nice morning) the test drive with new rotors and end links was enlightening.

The steering is much different. it is lighter (a bit) and definitely more responsive. I can feel the handling is "snappier" and more precise. I highly recommend these mods.

Zoren 370 12-21-2014 01:23 PM

Very true I do sport a set of whiteline sway bars hard setting in front and soft on the rear with whiteline endlinks!

Its night and day vs the oem sways! Worth every penny as an upgrade. The Z is just like running on rails at a sharp curve. No oversteer for me. Maybe im not fast enough at 80...hehe. The sacramento patrol would not be probably nice with me when get caught!

I hear hotchkis much better suited for track days.
