to really master the MT it will take years, not months as you wont be exposed to enough scenarios.

Oh yeah man i still have a long ways to go, but i am at least confident enough now to get through most scenarios. 4k miles in 3 months Im the first to admit i suck at driving my Z as a manual, but learning is half the fun

yah, it's like learning a musical instrument. quite rewarding when you master it and work the car like its a part of your body.

one thing i'm surprised that no one has mentioned yet to you thou it's known and discussed elsewhere in other threads is that our zeds have a peculiar and not particularly pleasant feel to them.

so, lack of experience aside...you're literally "stepping into" a clutch/feel/friction-point that doesn't fit the image or satisfaction that this sporty, fast, powerful beast deserves...

there have been a host of complaints...there are threads about removing the clutch spring, pros/cons---replacing the spring w/a very cheap alternative spring, or, as i did, buy RJM's performance clutch pedal set-up (not installed yet, thou).

i've had years and years of clutch driving including driving a bottled water truck w/144 glass bottles for 14 yrs. and consider myself a very good driver...

when i first got my lady i too stall at intersections and had probs pulling into a shopping center blindly, uphill, w/traffic causing me to stop and go (and once again stall)---and, yes, stopping and lights on an uphill grade causing a lot O' anxiety for me, even still...

i will say that i'm bone-to-bone in both knees, esp. my left one and that i don't have nearly the "feel or touch" that i did or might have were i a younger man...that could be part of it...butt, beware...this lady is a very tricky, witchy-woman...be careful...good luck...
