yah, my kid already learned quite a bit just watching and me explaining. he needs more hands-on experience but he needs more practice on plastic models and making stuff out of balsawood, etc. he needs to learn how to control the tools.

ive mentioned this earlier, but those metal craft kits are a GREAT way to test your hand eye coordination with tools. basically you only use needle nose pliers and your building/crafting experience.

search 'metal earth' on amazon and you will find a lot of these metal kits.

yah, i need to learn airbrush cause the gating item for me is not being able to paint the rc bodies in the winter due to cold weather.

that water based lexan paint i bought has no smell... just cant brush it on as it's too thin. i need to get a compressor and practice.

then i'd probably get a few more kits over the winter.

of course not having a compressor wont stop me though.... cause tamiya sells kits that come with pre-painted bodies.

Hope everyone is having a wonderful afternoon. I, for one, am enjoying my time off work.

yah, the rattle cans i use smell so bad i have to do it outside. i wear a glove on my left hand to hold the body and just stand there in the yard painting. the particles that hand on my arm dont stick at all since it isnt like that plasti-shitt garbage... lol

wat i like about tamiya is how accurate their bodies are. for bashing around the house, i prefer tamiya over serious chassis for racing.

i luv the side mirrors and figures the tamiya's come with.

rc truck#3 has working headlights and tail lamps for ultimate realism.
