DOD TECH LS Series LS430W Full HD Dash Camera Dashcam with GPS Logging and WDR Technology
I still want a go-pro but I didn't want to take it off the dash all the time. I really wanted the extra "witness" if, knock on wood it doesn't, an accident happens.
Plus some decent features (if they works good lol)
"...a built-in G-sensor, which protects the current video recording from being erased when the sensor detects an possible impact to your vehicle."
Loop recording: Enables the camera to overwrite the oldest bit of footage when the memory card is full, so you never run out of disk space
Time and date stamp on video (and speed if it has GPS): useful should you ever need your video footage as evidence in court

Video looks pretty good too and stable. Be sure to check what resolution it plays back as.
