i should mod my drill housing so it has a flat surface.. then glide it along a side of a book or something square...
i dont need anything elaborate. actually i want something easy to make and small.

dat defeats the purpose of my rc workbench...

kinda like them folks that buy expensive wheels then run v12's or some shitty tire.

i like my workbenches to be standalone....

but then i realize im going to need a press clamp and all, so might be just easier to take the bits to my garage and just freeze my arse in there in the winter time.

i dont like the fact that i usually need something else while working my rc stuff in my garage and have to go downstairs again...

anyone try those portable drill guides? it's got like 2 vertical alignment posts with springs on the sides with a drill chuck on a horizontal bar between the posts. you connect your driver to the chuck, load your bit, and press down.

it looks like a royal pos...but do they work?

Does a Dremel provide enough size? Dremel makes an attachement that will let you drill perpendicular holes.

yah, ive seen those jigs. i dont have a dremel brand rotary tool. i use a panasonic low torque driver on my rc stuff. it's 1/4" drive so i use 1/4" drill bits when i need to make holes.

Panasonic EY6220NQ - 2.4V Cordless Drill & Driver Kit

the holes i make are very small..like less than 2-3mm in diameter max...and most of the time into plastic.

so im thinking i can make a right angle guide to slip the driver up/down to make these perpendicular holes...
