i should mod my drill housing so it has a flat surface.. then glide it along a side of a book or something square...
i dont need anything elaborate. actually i want something easy to make and small.

kenchan 11-11-2014 10:50 AM

ken-san, how about you take your parts to the garage and do the drilling there?

dat defeats the purpose of my rc workbench...

So why would someone buy a BBK and then ask for the shittiest pads available?

Hi I'm willing to pay $$$ to make my car look like it can brake well, but I don't want it to actually be able to :wtf2:

Reminds me of something...

Mrs. Dr. onzedge™: (sarcastically) What's in the pot on the stove? Carburetor parts?

Mr. onzedge™: Yes.

Mrs. Dr. onzedge™: I was half joking.

Mr. onzedge™: I am not -- there are 2 SU's worth.

Mrs. Dr. onzedge™: Geesh.

Mr. onzedge™: I love you.

Mrs. Dr. onzedge™: (Silence)

i like my workbenches to be standalone.... :D
but then i realize im going to need a press clamp and all, so might be just easier to take the bits to my garage and just freeze my arse in there in the winter time. :ugh: i dont like the fact that i usually need something else while working my rc stuff in my garage and have to go downstairs again... :ugh:

kenchan 11-11-2014 11:27 AM

anyone try those portable drill guides? it's got like 2 vertical alignment posts with springs on the sides with a drill chuck on a horizontal bar between the posts. you connect your driver to the chuck, load your bit, and press down.

it looks like a royal pos...but do they work? :ugh:

kenchan 11-11-2014 11:29 AM

im drilling like a 1/8th size bit max, so i dont need anything elaborate at all.

kenchan 11-11-2014 11:30 AM

hi id like to spend $250 on a table top drill press for a 1/8" side hole i want to make once in a blue moon?

:ugh:

Does a Dremel provide enough size? Dremel makes an attachement that will let you drill perpendicular holes.

yah, ive seen those jigs. i dont have a dremel brand rotary tool. i use a panasonic low torque driver on my rc stuff. it's 1/4" drive so i use 1/4" drill bits when i need to make holes.

Panasonic EY6220NQ - 2.4V Cordless Drill & Driver Kit

the holes i make are very small..like less than 2-3mm in diameter max...and most of the time into plastic.

so im thinking i can make a right angle guide to slip the driver up/down to make these perpendicular holes...
