Me two days ago: what are you talking about? I replaced the fronts rotors because you warped them. I replaced the CSC so it doesn't fail on me out in middle of nowhere. This is the first real thing that actually broke and needs replacing. There's a possibility I can get it replaced under warranty, but I'd rather just buy the upgraded bushing and install it myself for $100.
My wife two days ago: you spend too much money already. Get it done under warranty.
Me two days ago: fine... whatever

My wife today after I called her with the no warranty coverage news: how much does your aftermarket part cost, $200?
Me today: no, $98 shipped.
My wife today: and you can do the work yourself?
Me today: well, I'm not paying someone $1000 to install a $100 part, but yes I can do it myself.
My wife today: well just get what you need.
Me today: thanks babe.

dat sucks... they shouldve gotten back to you MUCH sooner. :shakes head: a day without a car is inconvenient enough. did they at least give you a loaner?

yah, i guess fate is telling you something... whiteline bushings and you doing the work

I just spoke with the very nearby Z shop (Z Clinic) and he's got a special tool for removing and installing that differential bushing. Almost no suspension parts have to be removed - just the differential. It's 2.7 hours of labor instead of 8-9 hours, so it'll only run $270

Honestly, they should have been able to tell me over the phone that it wouldn't be covered. Idiots. It's called a cross member bushing in Nissan's system, so they don't even relate it to the differential. Oh well, the guy was extremely polite and helpful at least. I spent too much time conversing with him about the part until we looked at it in the FSM, so I didn't have time to bug the sales people about their half-a$$ed 2015 Nismos :ugh:

like fixing a hole in the roof.

i can probably do it, but i will probably roll off the roof as well. :rofl2:
