yah, plus the amount of time and effort you spent building the car.
rc can be a very deep hobby :tup:

i like my truck #2.. it's the cheapest out of the 4 i bought, but i did so much mods and conversions to it, mine's the only one like it in the world. :tup:

:tup: that's awesome! hahaha. im not sure wat scale my slot car was, but i also had a HO scale toy train set i luved conducting (?) driving (?) it. i played with it so much that the motor smoked and died :eekdance:

honestly nothing is cheap for rc .... its how you shop on ebay that can save
a man a fortune..............:tup:

i remember taking apart RTR rc toy cars and finding hugegangeous capacitors and resistors all hand soldered onto some pos pcb. lol :icon17: hahaha.

jumper wires galore.

99% 1990 and back were ho scale.. about the same size as a hot wheel or
match box car.....:tup:

:iagree: yah since im running a lot of my ancient electronics ive only pretty much paid for the kids and some hopsups and spare parts.

i think ive only spent $2k this fall on this...if i bought the 2.4GHz radio add another $1.5K and couple hundred more for new batteries and chargers.
im still running old nicds too. :D

im into about 4000.00 but still have 2 rc models still boxed back in Cali...:iagree:

Aurora made a fine slot car set...ebay slot car sets and you will find your

yah, problem back then was i didnt know how to fix it and my pops was out on business 99% of the time so i ended up just pulling out the motor and played with it like a big matchbox car without the radio. i was still having fun though. :D

now a days, yah... you can i can make a rc car out of a cereal box if needed.. lol

if i really end up deep into this hobby again i will get me the new radio and batteries and such. :D for now though, my old gear works fine.... hell, the receivers are old tech but brand new right out of ebay. :tup:
