Why the strict rules?
 

I'm actually curious to why we can't use foul language or post about kill stories...I see these things as well as other banned things on other forums and I can't make sense of it. Don't get me wrong, this an awesome forum, which without I would be lost on what to do on my Z, however it doesn't make sense to me. Cussing isn't illegal but street racing is, I can see the potential danger in that (not really). Im not asking to change the rules, quite frankly I'm fine with the way they are since most of people here are nice, but it kind of made me think about it. Im not sure if anyone asked this question before so I am most looking forward to answers from admins and moderators.

If this somehow offends you or gets your rage machine mode turned on, hit the back function on your browser and keep going about your day. AGAIN, i am not trying to start sh*t, just want to get a clear answer and be about my business. :driving:

Because on forums where these types of things are allowed are filled with problems. From members threatening to kill one another to legal troubles in result from street racing videos and stories. I've seen people get tracked down for their stupidity on the streets because a observer saw their actions and went to the car specific forum where the idiot had posted the whole ordeal. He got sued.

I suggest paying for a premium membership... There is a whole other world on this forum once you go premium...

As far as cussing goes, things seem to be pretty loose - the filters will catch **** but not sh!t. IIRC, the no-road-racing-stories is because one of the admins/mods had a very bad experience.

Neither bothers me. I can take or leave swearing and I quit street-drags a few decades ago.

As others have mentioned, the premium sections are not censored as much.

I dont mind the cussing at all and still do not understand why people get their panties in a wad when they here or see a dirty word. Lets be real, we all learned about every dirty word there is by the third grade.
As far as kill stories are involved I really see no issues there either unless you post a video of you in your car with your license plate showing. No one can hold you accountable for saying anything in regards to racing in all reality but I understand why the mods do not want it.
We had a kill thread on the CBR1100XX forum specifically for that so Im kinda scratching my head still here on this forum about this subject.
Either way it's fine as most of us do drive a sports car and yes we do play on the street at times. It's the asstards that drive like idiots which pretty much prevented this topic here I believe.

We try to uphold a higher standard on this forum when it comes to illegal/offensive material.

Nearly every member on here is an adult and is expected to act like one. I'm a construction worker, I cuss on every second that comes out of my mouth. But I've got no issues with not having to cuss on here. It's just more mature and work friendly.

But then again... You can always go premium :)

As far as kill stories.... C'mon, you have that answer. First, the cops can lay charges on you if their investigation goes that deep. Second, many lives have been needlessly lost due to street racing.
