It's for red light cameras. Reflects flash. Nothing to do with radar lol.

Read the comments on youtube. One person did this and they drove by a police car. Their radar didn't work well so they pulled him over and now he has to pay 300 Euros

Agreed. Although the number plate on the front of the car is the best reflecting surface for radar, it has nothing to do with its optical reflectivity. The flat surface is all that's needed.

There might be some benefit to befuddling laser reflectivity, but since it's just the numbers and not the entire flat surface I would guess it might be just a minor reduction in range, if anything at all.

A roadside speed camera will provide the speed data from the radar but that info is useless without knowing the license number of the car.

I have to agree with DjSquall and MacCool - there is no way that small of an area will block/absorb enough radar waves to do any good. It's all about visible light. Ie, all that gizmo does is (somehow) obscure your plates from a camera.

Don't misunderstand me, I think it's a very clever idea, but around here anyway red light cameras and speed photo traps just don't happen. Even laser is a very rare event. Get me something that will render me invisible to radar and I'm interested, however. This kit, cool as it is, doesn't help me a bit.
