I don't understand why people don't get this. The markup on the parts is part of the cost of the repair.

You bring them the parts, they will make up the profit somewhere, and it's not like you're going to be their favorite customer, either.

Sure if it's some special imported from Japan bumper you had to wait 6 months for, that's different, but the only way I'd carry parts into a body shop (outside of something small/cheap) is if I were going to carry it back out as parts and install it myself.

yah, i mean the guy consulted a bodyshop and came home empty handed
without an estimate. :icon08:

i just dont get that portion. i could never be that unproductive with my time.
my life would not allow such unproductivity.

Well apparently you can get OEM body parts that are good, and OEM body parts that are bad, and body shops only know where to get the bad OEM body parts. :confused:

kinda like them AT drivers that shift up in manual mode on a normal straight road even though the car can shift on its own. :ugh:
