Cop on cruisers

I got pulled over by a biker cop for going 75 on a 70. I was in Downtown fort worth, Tx I was heading back to Arlington, I went on the fast lane (70mph) but I went a lil faster 73-75 to gain distance on the cars on the fast lane. I got pulled by over at that exact moment and the cop put I was going 75 on a 60.. Everyone knows fast lane is 70.

I feel even if I was going at the current speed limit 70, he'd still have pulled me over. This is my first ticket which I never expect to have a speeding ticket in this car. I don't know if I can dispute this ticket and since this is my first I can take defensive driving course.

you can take defensive driving course when ever you want, no matter what car...
as long as you have not done one in the past 12 months (from the ticket you just got) and no more than 5 in a 10 year period.

If you have then you might have to do the 8 hour class which I can imagine sucks.

I would go to court with it. schedule a time, then 1 week before the hearing, call and say your out on business and need to reschedule, and then go... by then the officer usually never shows up and your golden.

Dispute it anyway - and then if that fails then take traffic school... thats hella lame tho man... so was the speed limit 60? ... 15 over is kinda asking for it if the cop has had a bad day / if you have a nice car...

you were speeding 15 over and your calling the cop a "douchebag". you broke the law take defensive driving and buy a radar detector

This happen in the highway and cars are always going 70 on the left lane. My car isn't fast at all, I wasn't trying to speed just trying to gain some distance. I don't want to waste my defensive driving course on this shitkicker, you feel me?

The cop didn't give me the amount; he gave me a sheet saying that I was going 75 on a 60 and all my information. He said that I'll receive something in mail within 11 days.

you don't need rocket science knowledge to know cops riding cruisers are douchebag. My step-dad who has been a cop for 10yrs knows that cops on cruisers are ********. As I previously said, my car doesn't do 60 in 4.5sec and if it did then I wouldn't have gotten pulled over. There wouldn't be a logical reason to buy a rader detector now. I'm always driving the speed limit except a cop caught me doing 5mph.

no I'm not a cop, i just find it very irritating when people try and blame others for their wrong doings. you were speeding you got caught you've got two options pay or fight have fun.
