Anybody been to 24hr Fitness in Huntington Beach?

I just arrived Cali today to visit family. My uncle has a membership and could bring my dad and I in as guests. Once we got there we were told to sign in as guest. As we walked in this prick stopped us and started asking a ton of questions. I told him my dad and I were visiting. He asked to help us. We declined his offer. He asked to help me I said no a nd that I've been working out over 10 years and just wanted some gym time while I was in cali. He told me I needed to know the process. We declined. So he said he'd give us a tour. I shooked his hands and thanked him. As we continued he swung us over to his desk. Grabbed our IDs. Asked a bunch more questions. I knew he was trapping me to answer questions a certain way so I started to bs. Well. He turned the monitor and said my membership was terminated because I was a guest at some locations. I got pissed. He pretty much terminated our guest membership as we start there. So I cussed him out and got booted. I walked back in to call him out. Talked to the people at the counter and they apologized. It wasn't about the money. He didn't welcome us in and had an agenda to kick us out when we declined his offers.

Let the fun begin.

Is that across from the Bella Terra? I go there from time to time, if you want to go back let me know, i'll take you in. I live 5 miles from there. How long are you in town for? Maybe we can hit up the monthly meet if you're still around on the 5th.

He was a douche. Like kenchan said, don't let that ruin your visit. Front desk won't do anything with the information. I recommend you send a complaint to their corporate office. They need to know these things and hold their people accountable. If you're not the only one he's done this to, then let them escalate. Total bs. I'm guessing it's the one off the freeway on Beach Blvd.

I don't know the area well. There's a parking garage and offices next to it and that's where we parked to get in since it was packed. I know it's in the Huntington Beach area. You can pull it up on his profile. I'd love to go back since I want to burn calories while I'm vacationing and eating here. We don't have time to come back today with more family coming in. I just remembered he grabbed us by the arm to keep us from moving forward like a bouncer. I was too calm at the time to react to that. Gotta big complaint written.

What a prick, those salesman at the big gyms only care about getting your money nothing else. I go to lifetime fitness and they bug me every time i bring a guest.

I understand the business tactics. I didn't expect to get pulled and got the temporary free pass terminated. I bs the question and answer session. He asked me if I been a guest before. I said yes, but I never did. They have no record of me or my dad in the system. Only when it was signed up online. It was obvious he was terminating it as he was badgering us with bs questions. He even asked my occupation. Some personal questions I was not comfortable answering in that position while he had our IDs. I really did think our privacy was being violated which is why I didn't want to answer such questions before getting kicked out.

If he wanted us to pay $20 I didn't mind. Not after all that bs.

I used to love going to out-of-town gyms when I was body-building and some skinny twerp would come up wanting to "help me". Uh. No thanks. I want to get bigger, not your size.

Thanks for the offer. My schedule is full today as a couple more relatives are arriving today. I'm only here for 2 days since im leaving to Vegas tomorrow and home on Friday.

get on yelp and put a negative review and that guys name. I didn't realize how many businesses actually read their yelp ratings.

I wish I reacted sooner when he grabbed my dad's arm to pull him over to his desk. My dad normally reacts defensively fairly quickly, but he was also just as calm and confused as I was.

Anyhow, after the 4 day trip in the OC and a day in Vegas, my weight dropped from 172 to 168. On my normal work week I have trouble shedding the fat on my gutt despite the workout and volleyball practice. I managed to run a few laps that day, soccer the next day, and ran all over the Vegas airport while having an asthma attack from nearly missing my flight.

So I guess I need to run really hard until I pass out to shed the fat on my belly... :P
