Most Will Never Experience . . .
Kids today will never experience.
1. Spam as just a meat product. 2. Starbuck being a man. 3. Privacy. 4. Typewriters. 5. Trig tables and log tables. 6. Finding books in a card catalog at the library. 7. Swimming pools with diving boards. 8. Writing a check. 9. Inserting a VHS tape into a VCR to watch a movie or to record something. 10. Playing music on an audio tape 11. Standard-definition, CRT TVs filling up half your living room. 12. Television without remote control. 13. 8-track cartridges. 14. Vinyl records. 15. Betamax tapes. 16. Scanning the radio dial and hearing static between stations. 17. The scream of a modem connecting. 18. The buzz of a dot-matrix printer 19. 5- and 3-inch floppies. 20. Using jumpers to set IRQs. 21. Booting your computer off of a floppy disk. 22. Finding information in a printed encyclopedia. 23. Doing bank business only when the bank is open. 24. Shopping only during the day, Monday to Saturday. 25. Phone books and Yellow Pages. 26. Filling out an order form by hand, putting it in an envelope and posting it. 27. Carrying on a correspondence with hand written letter. 28. Sending that film away to be processed. 29. CB radios. 30. Rotary-dial telephones. 31. Pay phones. 32. Not knowing who was calling you on the phone. 33. Toys actually being suitable for the under-3s. 34. Relying on the 5-minute sport segment on the nightly news for baseball highlights. 35. Looking out the window during a long drive. 36. Spending your entire allowance at the arcade in the mall.

x2. I was at my doctors office today complaining about my knee (again) and she said it was because I was getting older. I said the same thing. "I'm only 28, wtf?"
