Damage to my car and bike
So the other night i got a knock on my door. Guy asked me if i owned the blue ZX6R and the 370z. I told him yes and he told me my bike was laying on the car. (i can only have 1 spot so i park my i bike right next to my car, never had a issue until now) Winds were really high that night, plus i was riding that day so i was low on gas in the bike. Had my cover on the bike but it lifted up on one side and acted as a sail. So i go outside and see the bike resting on the car. The frame sliders i bought for the bike were resting on the tire and thats it. So to make sure i lifted the bike up, backed it up abit and turned it on so i could get the lights to come on. Just as i go to look at the front fender where the contact was..."BAM!" big gust of wind comes again and knocks the bike over. This time it gets stock between the rear tire and quarter panel. Damn thing was stuck in there. Only way i could get it out without damaging the bike would be jack the car up and have someone hold the bike up. The guy already left so i was on my own. So i used abit of force and pulled the bike out, at the same time a piece of the front cowl and mirror went flying off. Heres the pictures...
Talked to a dealership for a bike and looked online...online seems like the best option for the 2 parts i have to be replace. $600 shipped. As for the car i called a body shop, they quoted me $595 over the phone to fix the 2 dents and the scratch. Did some work tonight and realised it wasnt a scratch, just a black scuff mark. Buffed it up with scratch remover and then waxed it...has a good shine to it now. So im hoping the dents arent to bad and they can just be banged out and not having to be filled and re-painted. |

the bike is in the same spot...i know, i know. But i have no place to store it right now and theft on bikes is abit high right now so thats why i have it so close to the car. I turned the bike 180* so if it falls, it falls away from the car, never thought of that before until my friend told me to do it. Bike will be going in storage in a week or two due to im embarrassed to ride it like that and i dont feel like fixing it right now, wait till the spring.

i hate edmonton for bikes. I lived in Halifax, NS when i bought the bike and loved it...here its all straight roads, no twisties. Have to drive 4+ hours to the mountains for that. By the time i get there im just like "**** it, get me off the bike my *** is sore."
