I'm actually a USA Cycling certified coach. I'd be happy to help, but you won't get anything truly "lightweight" in that price range unless you go used. I just sold

![]() If your going to be riding trails often it's best to save a little money and get a bike with a component set that can handle the abuse. I like to stick to the rule of Shimano SLX(mountain) 105(road) equal or better. LMK if you have questions or PM me and I can give you my cell Last edited by Meulen; 10-23-2014 at 09:19 AM. |

thanks! I actually pack up a bike and jump on a plane to Cali once during the winter too. Not only is it cold here, but there are no mountains either! It's nice to get a taste of things I can't train for here in my state!

Yeah! I love going out there! Usually hit up Monterey, ride the coast some and head into Salinas. There's a killer climb up Freemont Peak there! Hopefully hit it up again in April. They actually open up Laguna Seca to cyclists on certain nights too. I've ridden my bike on it and not my car! Shame really! Lol |
