If I had that kind of cash "laying around" I would probably have lots of cash not laying around, too. Hello 10 car garage

I would think it wouldn't be a big deal (money-wise) for them with the way he spends on his GTR, but I don't like to ever think that way about anyone - I will always feel like I'm indebted to them, even if it's a gift. I guess that's just how I am. :icon17:

I am going out on a limb here with this but if you guys are that close, **** the $, you guys are so past that BS. I don't care if they drive a ford pinto or a GTR, you all (**** typing y'all haha) have a good relationship and if they offer, go for it, they are your close friends and that obviously means a lot to them already. You obviously are about their feelings...

I have a good friend that makes bank and has almost no expenses because he travels for work all the time. Years ago, I was a lot more uncomfortable about letting him spend money on us. Now I just ask for his credit card to pay the tab :icon17:

Basically, I know that he enjoys doing what he's doing. I know that I would be doing the same thing in his position. I enjoy spending money on my friends and family :)

I wish I could afford to spend more money on friends.

I try to, but I'm also a horrible gift giver. :rofl2:

Hey man, its not always what you can give back in $. Friendship, willingness to offer support through verbal or other channels can make a big impact. Money is NOT always the best heart felt response. When you care about people, its in your actions that count. $ is not the best indicator of your caring!

You're correct.

I guess I am just looking at things materialistically when I shouldn't be, thanks. :)
