LS motors are very light, I know the s2k that did it with an LS3 only added 30lbs or so all on the back side of the engine or over the front axle.

The turbo is the killer actually, not the car. So am FC turbo is more of a POS compared to the NA.
And those guys are perpetually broke because they "got a good deal" for $4k on the car... And the car perpetually breaks

Yeah, plus or minus like 75lbs. You have to get a GTO tranny and a Ford Mustang rear end. The enthusiasts like my retard friends like 400/400... They think it's weird for the sound of a V8 to come out of their rice rocket

And you're giving that POS too much credit (the engine.) It's smooth, but that's it. The car makes no torque, ever... Oh, 500WHP, 240ft lbs torque, lol

The real reason why it's fast, 4.55:1 gear ratio
I have to disagree with you. The thing does have very tall gears which yes makes it very fast, but it has no issues at all slamming you into your seat. I mean you can quote numbers all day long but for it to stay right beside me (and slightly pull ahead when I shift) is saying something about a car made in the 90's.

It holds it own against my 530hp/430ft lbs car. Yes its not reliable but some of the more hard core car enthusiasts dont care. It is a car that will put a smile on your face and it does it for me (although im not sure if having my woman drive it for all its worth is causing that ). Its perfect as a weekend driver that you do not have to depend on.

Chuck, you are correct. I miss spoke. I forgot that the LS has an aluminum block.

So yes they are very close in weight.

My apologies.

I mis spoke about gear ratio, my bad. The RX7 repair shop here told me stock was 4.55:1

Is your girl's stock that it pulls that hard? They weren't THAT fast, lol

And I like my reliability, if she doesn't care, that's fine, I still will think that car with THAT engine in it is a joke

Not sure if anyone has heard the myth that Chevy stole Mazdas design. That's why the motors fit without modification and they do look pretty similar

Suicide seems like a viable option.

Otherwise, spending it alone, again.
