I believe she got some Forgestars

I would assume she posted photos up somewhere, but I wasn't around this past weekend.

I would like new wheels, but the cost per unit of happiness is too high. I would rather spend a few hundred bucks to repair all of the nicks on my stock Rays and save the extra money for performance mods.

LOL we shut down the city when the morning dew frosts. If we got weather like you guys, nothing would get done for months during the winter :icon17:

Nope, but I'm sure I'll get to see them in person pretty soon. She's got an extra bottle of Motul brake fluid that I'm going to buy off her

If I could find some used and mint F14's or the like, I would consider them immediately. That way I can get rid of the spacers.

But then I have to lower the car too and get new tires. Snowball effect. :(

So....somehow one of my locking lugs is missing. There are no scratches around the area and the stud is still there. I'm not sure if this means it fell off somehow or if someone deliberately took it to get a key made up and come back to get the wheels.....

I would buy a new set of locks -- just to be safe.

I am, just need to wait until the vendor opens on the west coast. Also getting a garage today. It's going to end up being a walk to my apartment but oh well.

Can't have nice things. :shakes head:

I'm half tempted to just sell the new wheels with the tires and go back to OEM.

I'm just aggravated because I don't know if the damn thing just came off when I was breaking them in or if someone is really trying to take them. And now I'll just have to spend more money for a garage because the complex decided to not have security like they told us they would. Excuse me while I go punch something.

honestly locks are pretty easy to remove with the right tools. if the bandits (bandits :icon17: ) wanted to steal them they would've already taken them.

that said, i think your tire place either forgot to torque that one lock, or a squirrel came by and took it home with him to find a matching key. :icon17:

 on the garage. you just have to work harder when you want nice things. its just the way it its. :) it's more effective to get a tilt sensor installed vs wheel locks imho.

Haboob 01-27-2014 10:01 AM

What are the specs? I'll take'em! :p

I'm thinking it came off yesterday evening. I heard something when driving home and asked my husband if he saw anything on the road before we heard it. They told me to come back after 100 miles to retorque and I ended up going 200 since they were closed Sunday.

No but my complex just said there are no garages available for a few months. :shakes head:

Haboob 01-27-2014 10:15 AM

You'll be fine.

You have insurance, right? They should cover it should they get stolen - it's a hassle, yes, but not the end of the world.

:iagree:

they go by oem price which is usually more than aftermarket. your insurance could also cover aftermarket wheels if you keep your receipts. it depends on your insurance i guess. plus any damage they do to the car, also should be covered under your comprehensive coverage.

kenchan 01-27-2014 10:30 AM

that's one thing i changed on my Z and G's insurance policy. i dont park my cars anywhere, they are garaged, i can fix my own dings and most scratches. no sense paying for $0 comprehensive when i can do most of the repairs. went with $500. that's about the price where i would need to get professional help.

hummmm....that sounds like im crazy. :ugh: :icon17:

kenchan 01-27-2014 10:38 AM

wow it's stupid cold today :ugh: and will be even more stupid tomorrow. :ugh2:

not sure why humans even decided to settle here. :shakes head:

:shakes head:you know...disclaimer: I have only talked about doing this...
How hard or illegal is it to wire things up so that your vehicle will set off a shock when touched?
I'm assuming this is illegal or it would be common place.
But grrrr, thieves annoy the h3ll outra me.
