She isn't even a decent enough human being to remove the guy's profile name over there before posting it on the internet. If you're going to out someone like that how about you post your profile up here too? I'd argue people like AttentionWhoreZ are more of the problem with society than the douchebag. At least he didn't go seek her out to be an ***. She came to him.

What is wrong with society?
Oh ffs. Here I am trying to be nice and am getting railroaded and being called names left and right. Gentlemen you are not. How is this remotely about me getting attention in any way? I wanted to bring light to the way some people are and to remind people of to treat others with respect and dignity- how they would want to be treated- which is apparently too hard to understand for some.
I give up and will stick to the people who understand when someone is trying to be genuinely kind to them and help them, unsolicited or not. And really? It's a website that anyone can see. It's not like it's confidential information or something. If he was worried about it, like anyone else on the site, he shouldn't have joined. Heaven forbid people see what's out there for the entire internet to view. And if you read my original posting, it was about his response and the idealism that is prevalent among society, hence the name of the thread 'what is wrong with society', not 'look at this dude being a ****'. Rather than just skipping through and looking at the pictures, read what I wrote. I honestly thought more of you all. I have never been so disrespected in my life. You should be ashamed. If it makes you feel any better I love getting dating advice because I'm clueless at it and if you were to have sent that message to me I would have thanked you and updated my profile.

This escalated quickly. Was his profile angry-sounding? Perhaps, but I can kinda see why he'd be angry. However, it also had a condescending tone to it. And I dislike when I see guys making a point to put athletic and other crap in what they're looking for.
However, his response to you pretty much shows why he's single and why I agree with the "train wreck" comment someone made earlier. There was no reason to come unhinged and fire off an "anonymous" insult. Dude should have just responded with a kind comment or taken the opportunity to open the lines of dialogue and ask to meet up sometime. Worst case? You have a date that isn't going to work out, but at least you had a date and met someone. And it shows that he likely doesn't want to text or communicate online, because he clearly has issues with it. If he looks like that, is a firefighter, and wants to meet girls, he needs to go to the bar/club/class/gym and talk to them. That would be "adventurous," "exciting," and "YOLO." (Come on, he sounded YOLO and you all know it.) Guys don't usually get it about woman and dating sites. It's a big deal for plenty of women to meet up with a strange (probably lecher) guy for a blind date in a place that is outside of their comfort level (or reasonably public place, safe, place). Dude needs to get over himself in that regard and stick to coffee dates or whathaveyou where you meet someone for the first time. You don't go hop a plane to Italy for a first date with someone on Match.com and climb some rocks and go parachuting into the Mediterranean. |

Yeah. The name-calling was a bit much but that just proves your point that some people are ^not^ real nice. Quote:

There you go again. No one has the responsibility to live up to your expectations. Wouldn't touch that one with a ten-foot pole. Not in the least. Edit: added ^not^

Well, technically, I'd do that, too. But not with a blind date whom I've not vigorously researched beforehand.
And having an extra $20k to blow on it. In fact, I'd rather just go alone and meet someone en route. lol |

"Look at this stupid man!"
"You're stupid for criticizing someone else as stupid!" ...wait wut? At least it *looks* like I'm taking the higher road by using some subtlety. But there's plenty of, "You're dumb, no you're dumb!" going on, that is somewhat self-fulfilling. (+1 to LadyZ for having a Z, first of all. Fuq yeah! And +1 for being a gamer!)
