It'd be paranoia if we hadn't seen this happen regularly. Wasn't too long ago On-Star (or someone with that service) was caught gathering more information than they led everyone to believe. They stopped, supposedly, but we never did learn what they were doing with it.
Always be wary of public companies whose balance sheets are dominated by revenues related to *you* being the product. |
Insurance would likely be interested in getting in on that data. Bad habits = more risk = high rates!
Even automakers would care, as they can see trends and void warranties. Like if you do 12 launches in your car... :) |
