Ugh, we were not bullet-proof, we just felt that way. I know for a fact I was a lucky guy many more time than I deserved to be. I made myself look at the grieving family so that I would think about my own family in the future when I get the urge to do 10/10ths on the street.

I don't understand why parents let their children buy fast cars like this. I know they can go fast in any vehicle but srt4's, evo, sti's etc... are just plain crazy for a kid to own.
For sure there are teen's that might be responsible and won't get hurt, but I would say the majority won't. Too much power for too little experience. SH1T I waited till I was 30years old to buy a crotch rocket cause I thought I wasn't ready till then. I wrote my sunfire off with 3 of my buddies in it and no one got hurt. Very lucky and made me realize a few things. Sad story especially since it might of been avoidable. Last edited by frcefed; 12-19-2008 at 05:38 PM. |

Accident avoidance and high performance driving courses should be mandatory for all teen drivers. Not only do you learn how to control the car, but you get a feel for the mass and how quickly and easily things can go from bad to worse..

It is hard for me to be sad that he died but the family I do feel for them. Anyone that is going to get a really fast car stock should be required to take a deffensive driving class/car control/racing class so they can learn the limits of that vehicle adn see how dangerous it is.

RIP
Judging by the pic, he was def speeding. People do not realize how unsafe and dangerous it is to race or drive irresponsibly on public roads. As someone mentioned, teens should go though more training before getting their drivers licenses.
