Mods please, please don't get mad at me, punish me

Considering the maturity of the 370z owners, 20 something to 70 something, wouldn't it be possible, even a good idea to be able to discuss subjects that affect our lives, as well as owning our cars.

Healthcare?
Energy independence?
Even electing people that support our military guys/gals?

Just^^^^a few things that affect all of us.

Isn't that as important as what color of wheels will look the best?

Then there's also that thing called a new forum created for the next Z.

Give me a tongue lashing, but please don't ban me cause I need to keep my brain busy in order to continue healing it after a real bad head trauma accident.

Thanks

Super Werty 12-07-2013 09:06 AM

I vote no for this. lol

You can join a dedicated political forum. I'd rather not know my Z friends political standings...and then lose them as friends.

:iagree: Although I agree with these things being important, but Werty is right. Friends and politics can't coexist. Not to mention, we live all across the globe. Politics are different between regions.

fair enough, thanks, BUT

designs on a car are far different than politics. Some people get heated over some politics.

Case and point, we differ in opinion on just the idea of discussing politics and you seem to be quick on the defensive.

XiP 12-07-2013 09:45 AM

There's a reason why people try to stay away from religious and political topics :)

falconfixer 12-07-2013 10:23 AM

We can't talk about transmissions or oil without it turning into a circlejerk...can you imagine a political or religion thread?

andre12031948 12-07-2013 10:43 AM

I didn't realize

That there are so many people not able to deal with reality/real life without going bunkers. Then you also must have problems with "love" "hate" "all emotions..weird & sad...

O.k I get it..... Good luck with life & I give up. That reminds me of the joke with an ostrich with his head in the sand :icon17:

andre12031948 12-07-2013 10:48 AM

I believe NOT being involved is a bad thing

Like if they double our gas taxes & you guys just put your heads down & take it!!!!! sheep much???? :)

I'm an atheist, I don't watch the news, I don't care about politics!!! Mods, ban me!!! Lol

andre12031948 12-07-2013 11:07 AM

any veterans here? REMEMBER my PROBLEM posting that VA day

It was so easy for those that DON'T serve to wish you a happy VA day & thanks for serving:) Well they don't have to serve but with the first budget cuts that are made are always made to the military like closing the VA commissaries that is happening today. So saying thanks for your service & have a happy VA day but I have no interest in protecting or helping you, or even getting emotional involved, is something that's not right in my book.

andre12031948 12-07-2013 11:11 AM

Well I am an atheist too

How do you figure? if we don't talk about politics on a car forum we're uninvolved sheep? What do you think is accomplished by political discussion here? It's not going to change anything.

andre12031948 12-07-2013 11:23 AM

I'm TRYING to discuss why not politics instead of discuss politics

Does that make sense????

Are you being honest????? posting that.

Why do they have debates before voting time?????

From your post, I can ask why even vote????

You are right-I'm done

I just hope I'm not screwed with this thread. I'll except a short ban but much more than that will cut me from having a place to distract my thoughts from depression.

So if you get your way and are allowed to discuss politics here, you think that's being involved? You're already calling people sheep. How much better do you think it's going to get when real issues are being discussed?

For some insane reason, you seem to think having a discussion on a message board will accomplish something :rofl2:.

The debate question is asinine. The debates are to learn about the candidates' views. What in the blue hell does that have to do with a discussion on a Nissan message board? And what part of my post has anything to do with "why vote"? I was pointing out that yelling at my cat has exactly as much chance of changing anything as debating it on a small message board, and somehow you managed to turn that into saying "why vote?"

andre12031948 12-07-2013 11:34 AM

I'll answer you then I really have to go!!!

Is that considered an "answer"?

For the record, I'm in favor for civil and informed political discussion, but I can understand why the owner of the forum is unwilling to give us that. Now you're calling us sheep before a single issue has been brought up, so the "civil" part goes out the window.

So you agree with me but we got to be "civil". WHY???? What's wrong with showing some emotion or sense of humor. Are YOU/WE "civil" when a newbie says something stupid & we have a great answer for him???? :)

Maybe a better words might be not getting vulgar, or whatever rules we have now for our responses. Are some of the posts above making fun of me? They are. Did I break like an egg? No!!! Now please let me go....

Will you like this better? We are ALL winners & god forbid I hurt your feelings....
