Smile Things I have learned about the Z.

I would like to take this time to share some info I have learned about the 370z.

1. Almost any speaker can be fitted into the factory place with the z closure spacer rings. "used over top of the plastic"

2. The bose system has not changed still junk and hard to upgrade.

3. Much better acceleration than the 350.

4. Much better handling than the 350.

5. Looks better than the 350.

6. I will not be happy until I own one.

Can you go in to details regarding the Bose part? Am I going to be limited in my choice of aftermarket parts(speakers, amps, etc) and charging more for labor?

The bose system "if you have not got the car yet do not get the bose" is a PITA to upgrade. You can upgrade the sub and speakers but the bose amp and all will still fade out the bass and highs when you turn up the volume "how it was made" Also yes a lot of shops and including me will charge you more for upgrading a bose system because there is just so much more you have to worry about and do. If you want to put a new amp and keep the stock bose head unit you have to use a jl clean sweep to clean the signal than send it to the am that is an extra 200-300 bucks just for the part. I can go into even more details if you would like. But they are not worth the money save it an get a nice aftermarket setup. The thread you made asking why they are hated holds a lot of the info. I put a few good paragraphs in there explaining it all.

How "high" does the volume need to be before it starts to suck, in your opinion? I don't mind the sound quality at all and haven't really found a level where it stops sounding good. Give me a number... 20+ ?

so you're suggesting not to get the touring model since it comes with the bose system that's a PITA to upgrade?

Well it is always doing that from the time it powers on but it gets worse and worse as it goes up, I would say around 13

Interesting. I never go above 18 and I think it sounds fine at that level. I have never listened to 13. I am anal and can only set it to even numbers.

LOL I just do not care for what bose dose with there systems. They know that the amps and the speakers can not handle the power that is why they have that thing installed. On a normal system nothing would fade out.

In "S-Mode" the car will still accelerate (revs will hang and not drop off) for a little bit after you left of the gas. Not good for auto crossing on a tight course.
