Radar bounces off cars and other objects so I'm not necessarily f-ed if the detector goes off....no?

Right -- it also depends on the radar band the detector is picking up.

That's why I have the Escort ignore it. Popo 'round here use Ka band 98% of the time. Very rarely is it K band, but I leave K band on just in case.

I had POP go off a week or so ago. Have no idea where it came from.

I've only had it go off that one time though. /shrug

Nope. Wasn't a home in sight. Just farm land.

There's a small rail yard, but I usually get a Ka hit or even LASER from it (only one end of it), so they must have something going on in the rail yard, because there's no police anywhere.

huh, my escort passport7500 doesn have an option to turn it off...unless i throw it against a wall for permanent off on all bands.
