Here's my first "review":
I was impressed with the first AC/DC album I heard (Dirty Deeds), but they only have 5-6 songs that they massage a bit for a new song. A great band - the three songs above would be on my All Time Favorite Rock Songs list - but I start getting tired of them after a few songs.

Good stuff.

Suggestion: Put Artist/Title in post title
 

Some of the mobile users have reported that it makes browsing the Parent Thread easier if the Artist/Title info is included in the post title. I try to paste it before the video, too.

Given his lifestyle (at least when younger), I'm kind of surprised he made it so long. I'm not a big fan but he was very influential.

I got to see Tull at the Rosemont Horizon (Chicago) back in about 1975. For free! A friend's little brother called me and said he had several tickets to the concert and no ride. I had a car but no ticket. Didn't take us long to come up with a solution. :)

It's downright maudlin but still a great song. Great story-telling, good vocals, and a sweet guitar.

I saw them live in Jones Beach NY in 2003.

It was awesome.

Steely Dan is one of my favorite groups but I'm beginning to understand why they didn't perform live a lot. Maybe it's just crappy recording/copying but I've only seen one live SD video in the thread that I really enjoyed (Black Friday). Interesting to see what they did live but they shoulda stayed in the studio.

I'm not trying to discourage anyone from posting live SD (heck, I've even seen a few Rap and Dubstep songs I didn't hate), I just felt like spouting a little. ;)

I'd say they're hit & miss 'live'. I saw them a few yrs back when they were performing albums in their entirety (I went to the 'Royal Scam' & 'Aja' nights)
@ the Gibson Amphitheater here in L.A. (a venue that is sadly gone now) and both nights they sounded great and were really into their performances.

I saw them last year @ the Nokia Theater and felt like they were just phoning it in. They didn't even do a single encore. That's right, finished the last song, said good night, and walked off stage. It was weird.

I have at least three copies on vinyl and a quad 8-track set but can't remember if I have the CD. Will have to do some digging and see if I can find the CD in my collection. If I don't have it, gotta buy it.

Didn't find the CD but I must have it somewhere as I found a stack of DVDRs labeled "Rips Of My CDs xx of yy" with the image files. Luckily, the albums were on the DVDs in alphabetical order so all I had to do was flip to the discs with the W's. Now I need to find some bell-bottoms and tie-dyed t-shirts. :driving:

I've really enjoyed hearing these old tunes again. I've never been a big fan of either group (a bit too "arty" for my taste ... but both have songs in my Top 1000 Rock Songs list) so I haven't Liked very many of them, but it's a nice trip down memory lane. i amazoned the upcoming, upgraded ZEP's albums: deluxe 1st lp edition and remastered (again, sigh...) 2nd and 3rd CD onliest...i gotta tell ya, those first 2 ZEP albums caught me by surprise back in the day...i was in the air farce when 1 came out and had no idea/clue...still in servitude, 2 hit w/GWLL and it was on...to later discover 1 was like finding a treasure---what great blues!!!!...and i wasn't a blues man...i could really sing back then and all i could think of was i wished i was still rollin' around with my buds when these 8 tracks hit coz i could really belt 'em out...GREAT, GREAT MUSIC...

I have a soft spot in my heart for Zeppelin.
