yah, i was looking at this small 120gb one on amazon. i already have the 7200rpm adapter inside my MBP which i can reuse.

right now my roundtrip latency is 6.2ms @64samples which is pretty good for a 7200rpm running a 3yr old computer.

i think with the ssd i can probably do 6.xms running 128samples.

Thats pretty badass ken saan, I actually opend my last Macbook and upgraded my ram from 2gb to 4gb for having never done anything like that before.

i put in 8G in there just in case for ram. activity monitor shows about 5GB used for the sound samples temporary stored in there.

I'd like to upgrade my Air with a bigger SSD and 8gbs of RAM, but after doing research, I hear its almost impossible because everything is soldered in place.
