Well, a microfiber mitt to wash it. The towels to dry, remove polish and wax, clean glass, polish metal, etc.

I use a microfiber mitt to wash (I use 2 -- one for body and one for wheels/tires).

I use microfiber towels (Meguiars) for drying and Meguiar's finishing towels for final details.

Yeah, that's just not going to cut it. Go over the detailer's domain. They've got some good ones that don't cost much.
