Replaced the old 1TB hard drive with a 2TB one in my home office pc last night. Good stuff. Glad to have a dependable HDD in the system again. :)

Wow but the weather was nice yesterday. 74° in the afternoon? Perfect. :)

About to make my first cuppa joe and go sit on the back patio swing before getting ready for work.

Have a great day all!!

Good morning Mr. Happy :hello:

Have you considered SSD? I've decided that until SSD with storage size capacities come down in price, I'm sticking with my current set up at home and at the office - single SSD primary OS drive plus internal or networked RAID 5 using 4x traditional HDs (home is internal, work is a stand-alone NAS).

Nice!! Enjoy your long weekend

Looks like I'll have a long week :ugh2: I worked most of Sunday in the hopes that I could play golf on Friday, but my wrist has been bothering me the past few days and looks like it will keep me sidelined :(

Haha not yet, but its getting there! Trust me, I have a respectable coat/jacket collection in the closet just waiting to be modeled hahaha.

Morning kids!

Hello from the mainland :hello: Party on dude

Ugh, ssd is so expensive though. I have 4TB of storage on my computer, idek how much that would cost in ssd...

I want to add a SSD to run my OS in my MB Pro with the platter style 750gb harddrive as my secondary drive that holds my Aperture library, and everything else other than the OS and applications. I need to figure out how to go about moving/redirecting the photo library. I would have done it already if it wasn't for that.

Sucks about the wrist. I'm sure you'll find something else fun to do this weekend.

That's why I don't have them for storage yet. An 80 GB SSD cost me more than 2x 2TB mechanical drives when I originally purchased them several years ago.

Yeah, that can be tricky depending on what software you use. I wish I could give you some direction. Once you're ready to switch drives, however, I recommend Acronis True Image. It is fast and has always worked for me without issue.

It is Texas vs Oklahoma (biggest rivalry now) on Saturday, so I'll probably be pretty drunk. The way we've been playing this year, there's a pretty slim chance we'll make a game of it, and a pretty good chance they'll spank us by four TDs or more :ugh2: Luckily, we're hosting the watch party at our house, so I don't have to worry about throwing up on someone else's couch if our play is bad enough :icon17:

Good Morning All! :hello:

Fall and Winter are officially over in Houston. It's already 75° and muggy today.

To reward myself for being such a wonderful person (just ask me anytime), I drove the Z to work. :happydance: Amazing how something so simple can cheer you up.

Even more amazing is I realized how much more conservatively I drive the Z in the crazy Houston traffic compared to my Matrix daily driver. In the Matrix, it's a reenactment of "Tora, Tora, Tora" (Pearl Harbor movie for you children) every day. In the Z, it's about missing pot holes, crack heads, and women driving Suburbans on cell phones - more dangerous than AL Qaeda!

Happy and Huck - I'm still planning to be down your way in mid-December. Definitely need to get together somewhere for a few beers!

Have a great day all! :tiphat:

:icon18: The weather has been beautiful lately here in Austin. I keep waiting for the last summer push of a week of 100+ degree temps :ugh2:

Stay awesome, Mike!
