Free paid vacation
 

So i finally got the word that I got a free paid vacation to Iraq, woot woott finally getting me my tan i heard it was like 118 degrees over there in the shade lol. Sucks that im going to leave the wifey and my Evo and most likely miss christmas too but duty calls.

Do you know specifically where you're going? Went to Balad myself in '07 after getting back from Afghanistan, and then before going to Qatar.

Also at Balad myself for a month, never been to Afghanistan though. Spent most of my desert days at UAE(which was quite awesome btw,) thanks Chair Force. :D

I'm heading to balad, i heard it's pretty cool over there they told me they have a huge pool. I'm only going to be there for a few months so i'm lucky considering some of them army and marine guys are out there for a year.

Balad is nice, 2 pools actually 1 indoor, 1 outdoor, Movie Theatre, Subway, Pizza Hut, Taco Bell. Big BX, Bazzar right next door. Oakley store. 4 Really nice chow halls. Dorms are nice, at least the AF ones were lol.

How's the GYM's i heard they have a couple is it always packed

I believe there are 2 but don't quote me... The one on the AF site is nice. It has the entertainment area right next to it... There is even an 'Iraq Themed' Putt Putt course I sh*t you not!
