CS:GO Ridiculous Weapon Prices
 

So does anyone here play CS:GO? If not let me break something down real quick:

So you play the game and guns/cases will drop that unlock cool looking or unique guns. Now it is all cosmetic and gives you no edge on the competetion. You can A: keep the gun and use it for its looks or B: Sell it on the steam market and get actual money that you can use towards buying anything on steam. Here is one of the guns that has been sold before.

What guy is sitting at his computer and is looking at the piles of cash that he has just stacked against the walls and decides to buy a gun that only gives you a cosmetic look in game. To be honest no one even notices it since everyone is trying to kill each other.

(Sorry had to vent since I'm frustrated about being poor, and seeing that made me insanely jealous)

This is all new to me. Are you saying someone paid $200 for a video game gun used in a computer game and that gun offers no advantage? :icon14:

I didn't read the OP and I don't play computer games, BUT what you just said happens all the time, been going on for YEARS...

Exactly, and there are several guns that exceed this ones value. Worst off is it sold consistently. $205.01 for an extremely small code of script and a sprite (do they still call them sprites? I haven't programmed in forever)

I could use that 205 for my windows and been able to go to the hospital instead of my crack shack repair job! lol

(gonna go pick the windows up in 5min. Hopefully the G can fit em haha)

Just recently started playing CS:GO and the prices on those guns are pretty ridiculous. The other day I was playing with a kid who was bragging about how he just spent $700 on stat track skins for some of his guns. Its ridiculous, but a lot of the skins do have like $1-$3 price tags on them. I can sort of justify spending that if you really like the look of a gun or something, but I personally would never pay for anything like that. And also that gun you mentioned says it has stat track, which I guess some people find really useful. The same skin without stat track is like $10-$15.
