Who has went skydiving?
I went last week and I still can not stop thinking about it. How much fun it is going 125 mph in the air 2.3 miles from the ground. I simply can not find anything as exciting as that was and will be going again in a few weeks. My first few are tandem however I can go solo in 5 jumps. I am completely hooked. who else has went? Share your experience.

went as in peed in pants?
|
I jumped 4 years ago and have been thinking about doing it again . I screamed the entire fall and wet myself a little . I stopped after the parachute opened and realized I am going to live ..
|
How about some pics? :pics:
PS: I've never felt the need to jump out of a perfectly good airplane. heehee |
never skydived but did a couple nosedives and barrel rolls in a small airplane, that was fun but probably nothing like skydiving
|
I wish...I've always wanted to.
|

i thought i'd crap in my pants when my wife took me to that snoopyland or whatever it's called amusement park in socal like 15-20yrs ago on that parachute ride. :eekdance:

All my jumps have been solo. Never did a tandem jump. Static line for the first 5 jumps, then was pulling the chute myself. Have jumped out of all types of planes, helicopter, etc.
Scariest was a hot air ballon. Since you're traveling with the wind, there's no control till you get your body falling to speed. |
Dude, thats fricken crazy...
|
does military airborne operations count? if so i got plenty of those

Went tandem jumping last Sunday. My favorite part was the free fall too bad that only lasted for about a minute then the rest of the way was just floating down with the parachute.
One thing I didn't like was the twirling spinning of the parachute...made me a little nausea. I'm sure the fact that I didn't see for 24 hours before my jump didn't help either. I went to a Benny Benassi show the night before and when I got back did not have time to sleep. Might go again in a few years! For those that never went it's a must do:excited: |
I have to go again in the spring that is for sure.
|
27 jumps doing solo.
But stopped doing the sport when near fatal accident happened. That was 19 years ago when I was young and more daring and crazy. |

One tandem jump for me a couple summers ago. I was the first to go that year, with a trainee pilot too!
To top it all off, our primary shoot tangled as soon as it opened. Pretty intense. I purchased a second jump when I was there that day, haven't had a chance to go again though. They give you the option of a solo jump too for an extra $75 and a 4-hour class. I think I will do that next go around. I'm a bit a of a junkie. Would love to bungie jump too! |
Does indoor skydiving count? as in a verdical wind tunnel?? I have done that its pretty fun...
|
I have gone twice a few years back, both tandem jumps. There is a small county airport not far from here, and the guy that runs the jumping company holds (or used to) the world record for number of jumps.
It was pretty awesome, and I would love to do it again, but alas... they have a weight limit that I will probably never see again, unless I lose 2 limbs. :rofl2: |
