If I remember right it was right around there. I will try to dig up the receipt. There is a big electrical panel also. Pic below. The house was wired for a generator when it was built so I am not sure if there are extra costs involved or not. I would for sure call around locally and see what prices you can get. I think our unit itself was around $3K-ish.
This is part of what senses when the power goes out and switches it over to the generator. Pic of electrical box:

Edit: We found ours through the electrician that wired it all up. He does like 5 a year and gets a discount on the parts and he passed it on to us. Be sure to ask electrician friends!

I was actually amazed at the exhaust! That thing would blow a wall down if it wasn't concrete! I actually had to relocate one of my shrubs cause it woulda been torn outta the ground.
