Called alignment shop. They quoted 2 hours @$100 per hour for toe bolt install. :icon14:
Looks like I'll be doing that part on my own this week. Rotary tool costs like $20-$50. Any advice from you guys on this? |

btw, there should be a template with your toe bolt kit. just use a sharpie to mark the area you need to elongate with the dremel tool.
it's not rocket science. the only thing to really watch out for is the toe angle you set after the install. i suggest before you start, take your metal ruler over the sideways U shape on each side where the toe bolt extends out from under the car, and mark the rod so that you know where your toe rod needs to be L/R after the install. it won't be perfect, but it will be close enough that your drive to the alignment shop won't be dangerous... well, hopefully. :D you can also use a box or something if the rod welds are in the way when you mark to offset the distance on the rod. |
