Lake Tahoe, yeah!

A little late with this one but i had Monday off and took a drive up to Lake Tahoe. Went up to Inspiration Point above Emerald Bay and shot a few pictures. It was smoky from all the wildfires down south so the pics were nothing to brag about. It was nice to drive Highway 50. Coming back there was almost no one there so I drove it kinda hard, for me anyway.

I kinda like this one v :) no photoshop. not retouched in any way. the road is below the trail I was standing on when i shot this. It's one hairy little piece of real estate. Emerald Bay to the north; Fallen Leaf Lake to the south; and a narrow strip of pavement along the ridge of the mountain.

Then you know! Driving along that narrow ridge is something you want to do while paying strict attention to what you're doing. Not a time to be texting. It's a 20' wide strip of pavement that drops off 1000' on both sides of the road.

I've been thinking of where I might like to live if I didn't live here. Austin comes to mind often. I was born in Harlingen, TX so I have kind of a soft spot for Texas. Do you like Austin?

I would like to retire in rancho palos verdes.

kenchan 08-28-2013 07:55 PM

Or just go home and buy a hut in the mountains and a GTR...

I really don't want to eat mac&cheeze every day at the retirement home. :icon17:
