So for those that know my "is it a scam" situation: The guy is offering to send the PayPal payment as a gift. Which would mean he would be unable to dispute it or charge back. Hm.....

Wouldn't sending it as a gift also save you from incurring Paypal fees? You'd get the full amount without them taking out a certain %
