Dear Department of Justice,

Eastwest has a bad case of tuberculosis with a side of malaria. He is quarantined at his house and will not be at work today. He should be fully recovered by the weekend.

Sincerely,

Now that's how you get some sleep

You bastard! I wish I had some donuts here. One thing I love about actually being active and on a workout routine: I don't care if I eat unhealthy stuff :yum:

I don't normally eat really healthy, but when I'm not on a workout schedule, I often will skip meals if I find myself eating too much junk or just too much in general. I'm still eating large portions at meals but also eating more often throughout the day (snacks and protein shakes and the like), and I still lost weight

My wife wanted to start our workout routine AND a diet. I absolutely refused the diet. I'm not on a deadline to lose weight. And the most unhealthy thing I eat/drink are the beers I really enjoy (like Ruination). Hell will freeze over before I give those up for a diet :icon17:

I just stopped drinking beer during the week. That's gotta count for something. The other dietary change I made in regards to alcohol was switching to zero calorie sodas to mix drinks with. That's as far as I go. If giving up drinking is required to be healthy, I guess I'll never be healthy.

eastwest2300 08-28-2013 09:03 AM

In moderation..moderation is the key word.

According to the "charts", I should weigh about 180 lbs :shakes head:

I was 6' tall and weighed 200 lbs as a freshman in high school. I weighed 250 lbs my senior year when I played multiple sports and was in very good shape. I've been hovering around 230 ever since I stopped being regularly active, and I've always been able to lose 5-10 lbs in a few days by just cutting back on my food intake (i.e. skipping a meal or two). Being overweight makes it a little easier to lose. I'm just happy that at age 32 I was able to lose 10 lbs in a week without having to worry about my eating habits. My end goal is somewhere between 200-210 as long as I still feel good.

Moderation is really tough to define. I'm pretty sure I'm way over the line, but in all fairness it's hard to tell where the line is drawn.

I believe that if you have diet soda in your drinks you actually get 18% "drunker" vs drinking them with regular soda. You are on the right track :)

yeah the guys I work with are pretty much all health nuts, so I've been pretty much programmed to watch what I eat, and if you wanna eat bad, you can do it, but just dont do it all the time...basically. Eat more good than bad.

Hell, they even have me eating whole grain wheat bread.. I NEVER EVER liked wheat until i realized, hell this doesnt taste any different than white bread, and its healthy for you.

sodas are sooooo bad for you, that high fructose syrup is really bad stuff for the body, and whats even worse is high fructose corn syrup is found in damn near everything... bad bad bad.

I read that. After using mixers without sugar for a while it's amazing how much better I feel the next morning. The hangover's still there, but it's so much better now that I'm not putting down a 12 pack of Coke mixed with my whiskey.

Dude that's how I was until a few years ago. I was 6'2", 165lbs, from 15-25. Now I'm 30 and I weigh 200lbs. To my credit, I don't look sickly skinny anymore, I've filled out some. But I've got fat where it once was not and I don't like it.

I eat pretty good. I'm in ok shape these days. I've been lazy at the gym this year, and it's starting to show a bit. I'm back on the program again though, since it's either that or go buy new pants.

The alcohol is my line in the sand. If my diet/exercise regimen doesn't allow drinking beer while working in the garage or yard, it's just not going to happen.

Idk bro. When I was 160 I was too skinny. Seriously. I want to be around 180-185. I could stand to lose 15lbs of fat and get my six pack back. I've already developed a decent amount of muscle (for my build, I'm not huge)

If I'm drinking the good stuff, it's straight with a few of those soapstone "ice" cubes to keep it cold. If it's just regular stuff, ice and coke. It's too hot in Houston to not have a really cold drink.
