Fireworks!!!
My other hobby I get to have fun with twice a year. My dad and I have been doing little backyard shows for around 18 years now. Here is a little snip from the show we just put on for a friend of ours last night. Enjoy!
I recorded it on my GoPro with the water proof case on so it sounds a little funny. In my defense it was raining off and on thru the night though! |
Very cool! :) I was looking at some fireworks the other day and they are expensive!

Ya luckily my dad drops the jack for our show (New Years) and this show our friend pays most of the firework costs. Any side gigs we do we turn a little profit on. Weddings B-Day parties, etc. The entire show last night was probably 20-25 minutes. You can figure around 200-300.00 a minute. Labor is over an hour a minute.

Our town got fireworks, but everyone and their momma gonna be there. You gotta sit on building rooftops :inoutroflpuke:

I lit a sparkler for the first time in my twenty-eight years Saturday.
It was only approved a couple of years ago that things like sparklers were legal to sell, however, most cities have not approved the use of them. So you can buy, but not use. I've never played with fireworks and the shows we have for the 4th are nothing compared to elsewhere. That's the downfall of living in the desert. However, it's a good reason considering what's going on up North right now. |
Yep luckily I live in a state that has only had a few bans that I can remember from drought. The time that happened though we pulled permits to be able to do our shoot(s). Well one of my dads friend did that is a licensed Pyro Technician.

I love it! Great visuals!
