American cars have been a blend of other Nations for decades...Heck my 1987 Ford was half Mazda.

I think American cars have come a long way even though they may use other Nations to help them...

Like I said, I love my 370Z, but it too came with some lameness that is purely Japanese...Fuel starve, Oil temp limp mode, Steering Lock Failure..Hatch Shocks, Oil Consumption...

So every manufacture is not perfect.Japanese or American

Euro cars aren't perfect either. Many German brands suffer from gremlins in electronics. And many of them are incredibly expensive to maintain and use specialized tools, which are not mechanical faults, but definitely made me hesitate when shopping.

British cars had a history of rust and electronic problems. I'm not sure about modern brit motors. Italian and French marques around the lower end had reliability issues back in the day, but while France stays away, Italians are coming back strong. I mean, Fiat and Dodge make for strange bedfellows, but so far so good, apparently.

Scandinavian Makes are a little inconsistent. I know people who love Volvos and older Saabs, although Saab has been in trouble since it was under GM during the bailout.

More or less, there is no perfect car.

Dollar for dollar, I love the 370Z....It will hold more resale value and I have had zero problems...

EDIT...Except tire wear......But maybe that is just the way I drive it.....

1. Keep it filled on a track, and problem mitigated.
2. 34 row oil cooler, and problem mitigated.
3. Haven't had a problem with it (knock on wood).
4. Were never a problem, and if you remove the hatch ballast, it's mitigated too.
5. Mine never consumed any measurable amount.

As far as the "standard problems" of the 370, I haven't experienced any.

My Z is a March 2010 baby btw
