How far would you want them to extend? You might be able to take the stock brake pedal pad to a shop that could fabricate a thicker one out of rubber with the same backing to connect to the pedal assembly.

Maybe an inch on both? That alone would help me a bit. I do want to look into swapping in a touring seat for the driver side. I could see perfectly in Mike's Z on the track.

You won't pay a few hundred dollars more for better tires (if you had 19s), but you'll upgrade to touring seats?
