 yah, im just not a house kinda guy i guess.

if i ever decide to move back to japan after my kids are grown up, i would buy a small hut in the mountains and keep a GT-R and probably a honda fit there. :icon17:

I personally don't like having to rely on other people to borrow their stuff. :ugh2:

Well, I'm their only child, so it's more of "they have to". :p

Also, it was me moving out of their house to my home, so I'm sure they were more than happy to help.

For me, my Altima was able to haul the majority of my home depot trips, but did run into the occasional large item that won't fit and that's when I'd borrow a family members SUV. I still want a truck though, just can't justify it....even with the house haha.

I definitely got some looks a few weeks ago. I bought a small 4 shelf unit for the garage, forgetting that I had driven the Z. Everything fit, just had to unpack the box in the lot and stack the shelves in the hatch one by one.

It's too much to maintain and property tax here is ridiculous. we want to cut costs and are planning on moving sooner or later. im real sorry to hear, xip. :( my condolences.

are you going to be living with dad? i suppose buy a small 3 bedroom 2 car garage with a long driveway so you can park your dd outside and your hobby car inside...and live in an area where HOA takes care of the landscaping. to me mowing the grass is just a total waste of my time and i hate planting, so i prefer to just pay someone to do it for me. :D

There is no doubt parents are always there to help, no questions asked.

Like Mr.kenchan said, I'm an independent type of person. My parents are there for me, I just like doing things on my own.

Sorry to hear about your mom.

Are you planning on buying the house and living with your dad or branching out on your own? Either way, ditch the toys, and become a homeowner. I thought you already owned a house and that's why you had the toys. House > Cars.

Also if you can, get a 3 car garage or a deep 2.5 car garage. I bought my house before I got married so a two car was plenty, however, I guess being married means your wife gets a spot on the garage so when I get a winter DD in a few months, it's going to have to sit outside. I HATE parking any of my cars outside, especially when the snow comes. Plus you can never have too much garage space :)

Whoa!

Just because I've apparently caught the Canada doesn't mean I'm going back there!

I'm holding out hope that there's a cure. :p

hahaha. :D canada is much cooler and no monsoon or sandstorms to deal with.

I'm jealous of all your Canadian Holidays. We have a couple team members on the project I'm on that are part of our Canadian division and it seems like for every one US holiday, there's 2 or 3 Canadian ones. Even better for them since they're on a US project, on our observed holidays, they just "work from home".

Oh I know, I have been up there once before.

I will die if it's too cold (below 65 degrees F).

b15 07-02-2013 04:35 PM

haha 65* must feel like a freezer considering the weather in the Southwest right now
