Got up around 5:00 and drove from DFW to Talihina, OK to drive the 54 mile Talimena Scenic Dr. Since it was middle of the week after Memorial Day, I had the road to myself and was able to drive it like it was mine. The only other traffic I saw on the drive to Mena was the mowing crew which slowed me down for a one mile stretch. On the return leg I was stuck briefly behind another car and only saw two other oncoming the entire length. Indescribable joy of having a road like this limited only by your skill and judgement!

I ended up just over 700 miles for the day and had numerous opportunities to hit triple digits as most roads were empty after I got out of the metroplex and off of the main ones. 14 hrs of Z time + empty roads + 108 miles of twisties = AWESOME!
