LOL. That was generally my point. The Z and 911 offer a seperate quality of driving vs a stang and viper. It won't be me quoting numbers cuz i feel you. People who evaluate their cars for drive quality and put acceleration stats second (within reason) will tend to gravitate to certain types of performing cars. And others will want the car that C&D, MT and R&T worship the most. What their personal experience is will be influenced by the words of the pros and not their own personal skill-set and needs.

Reviews are ideas and guidelines. Long term reliability tests give you the most from mags. On paper stats is a guideline to what your skill level should be in the car (give or take) yet most cant achieve it. While a small fraction can beat it.

Then lastly is, test drive the car, ignore the salesguy or get a solo run if you have a good relationship with the dealer. And see if that car truly fits you like a glove. Accelerate to 80/100mph as fast as you can, Take a 90 degree turn as fast as you can, Find a steep hill and drive up it. Heel and toe on the highway. Double clutch on accel Feel the car and let the salesguy get upset... It's a demo anyway. It's your money. But before that. Know what kind of sports cars you like. Look at diagrams of the tracks you dream of, then find artcles of your favorite cars driving on those tracks or a track similar to one you like. Transplant yourself and imagine the drive. Then test drive. If the car isn't feeling how you imagined it? Don't buy it.

Most D-bags just buy what other people will possibly envy...

My next two rides will be a Z35 and C6 camaro, most likely. Isn't it crazy that that you can love a muscle car and a Z without ragging one car over the other? Wow
