Most car companies have negative customer service as expressed by dissatisfied vocal customers. The forum story about Astin Martin was one of the worst ever, if any one recalls.

My 370Z kicks *** over every Mustang I've ever come accross. And this is quite a few.

This forum is great. Im glad to post here and the knowledge is beyond valuable.

The car is great and can do most things well. The package of capability it represents for the price is fantastic. Ive owned much more expensive vehicles and when Im in the Z Im not thinking about them :) Rant away amigo's we live once but in the end we must take care of each other!

I would take a 911 over Viper any day. You can quote numbers and stats at me all day long. Don't care. I simply like that car more. The same is true with a Z and mustang. Quote it all day, don't care, I love how my Z feels on the road, and I like driving it.

LOL. That was generally my point. The Z and 911 offer a seperate quality of driving vs a stang and viper. It won't be me quoting numbers cuz i feel you. People who evaluate their cars for drive quality and put acceleration stats second (within reason) will tend to gravitate to certain types of performing cars. And others will want the car that C&D, MT and R&T worship the most. What their personal experience is will be influenced by the words of the pros and not their own personal skill-set and needs.

Reviews are ideas and guidelines. Long term reliability tests give you the most from mags. On paper stats is a guideline to what your skill level should be in the car (give or take) yet most cant achieve it. While a small fraction can beat it.

Then lastly is, test drive the car, ignore the salesguy or get a solo run if you have a good relationship with the dealer. And see if that car truly fits you like a glove. Accelerate to 80/100mph as fast as you can, Take a 90 degree turn as fast as you can, Find a steep hill and drive up it. Heel and toe on the highway. Double clutch on accel Feel the car and let the salesguy get upset... It's a demo anyway. It's your money. But before that. Know what kind of sports cars you like. Look at diagrams of the tracks you dream of, then find artcles of your favorite cars driving on those tracks or a track similar to one you like. Transplant yourself and imagine the drive. Then test drive. If the car isn't feeling how you imagined it? Don't buy it.

Most D-bags just buy what other people will possibly envy... :barf:

I know I didn't buy a 911....I am good with that..

I still own a Muscle car for the sheer craziness of it, but I drive the 370Z more...

So it has "issues"....Heck, I have "issues", and frankly, every car I have ever owned had some quirks....

But you Guys and Gals are pretty cool and quite funny when you want to be.....

My next two rides will be a Z35 and C6 camaro, most likely. Isn't it crazy that that you can love a muscle car and a Z without ragging one car over the other? Wow :rofl2:

Amazing!!!!

:iagree:

to each their own
buy the car(s) that you like and fits your budget
do what you want to your car
have fun it with
ignore the haters
enjoy

I always wonder... why do people bash hondas, ricers, ugly cars, etc...
If it wasn't for ugly and untastefully modded cars then you wouldn't have anything to compare against :icon17: :stirthepot:

I'm hardly in general discusssions anymore. Just cuz all the shytboxes complaining like lil period havin' hoez. I've been mostly in the Forced induction and firearms thread areas. Other vehicles to post news and have minor discussions and crack a joke or two. Honestly, I hate talking about the Z here...

The second you say something positive about the Z here. 5 c0ckriders automatically bring up 5.0 BS and comparing it to the Z. This forum started with a shytload of elitists and dbags in 09. They disappeared then 2010,11 and half of 12 this place rocked except for the 5.0 cult. But now, so many things are changing here again for the worst. At least the elitist Dbags had passion for the Z.

Funny to see how much Car and Driver manipulates the minds of guys on here. Also, I'm no mechanic. But i am a true driver. Understanding the dynamics of driving. 75% choose shytbox mods and don't make the right improvemnts necessary for the Z.
I read people whining about the Z with a $5,000 modlist in the sig and no mod that addresses their issues... I call that fashion modding. Then they complain when they sense understeerin high speed turns, excessive brake fade, etc... These have simple susoension fixes that cost about $2,000-$5,000 and very few adjust for driving. They drop for looks. .

Everybody is working on intake exhaust and tune for .3 seconds. Guys, you can gain that tuning your suspension, getting better tires and suffer less of some of the performance issues you face from driving a front heavy Z. But i guess since you can only show off your mods on a lift??? Its not worth the added performance? Engine mods are always last. Because once your suspension is perfect? You can determine how much power you need to add for your car to feel perfect.

My point is, so many complaints but nobody wants to fix it. People think thet Car and Drivers Corporate reviews on an overrated muscle car is the solution to fixing a sports car that is dynamically more neutral in the corners and holds a more consistent speed in the corners. The stang slows down and jets out to make a complete turn. Yes it does it faster than the Z. But thats torque. The Z can hold a higher speed entering a turn and coming out even though it's overall slower in that turn. That said, A modded Z with about 450rwhp will be a force to be wreckoned with on a curvy track against a na stang with intake and exhaust pushing about the same hp. Yes its cheaper on the stang to make 450rwhp. But the stang will never be able to mimmick the neutrality of the Z, That said. Both cars are awesome cars. But you are paying for two different qualities of driving. In the end, the Z's quality of drive is more expensive in general to achieve than the stang. It takes a lot of engineering for a company to have a median car that handles like an exotic and still gets the quarter done in the low 13 and achieve 1g.

Understand that these cars just appeal to different types of drivers. If we were rich here. Z drivers would own a 911. If mustang owners were rich? They'd own a viper. 2 different but very capable cars.

So douche bags. Understand what you own. Learn Z history, understand Z engineering philosophy so you know why your z excels in one area and lacks in others. You'd be happier owners.

Love to the stang and all sports cars. Lets end the BS.
