I would have agreed with this post a while ago. However, I have since learned to just skip over certain peoples posts/threads. My experience here has been much more enjoyable since I have ignored the elitist pricks.
I am in no way saying they don't know their ****. They do, they really do. But if you can't pass information along, then you are pretty ******* useless on this forum. There are two sources of value, IMO, on this forum. These are information, and friendship(Or at least someone who will appreciate what you have done to your car). By being an elitist prick, you offer neither of these. I'm not really sure why you wouldn't recommend a Nissan to your friends though. I'm still having a blast in my car. Feels like a brand new car every time I drive it. I am still very much in love with my Z. I think if you just learn to avoid certain people and certain posts you will find your experience much more enjoyable here. I also try to pass on the limited knowledge I have retained here to new people. Or to jump to the rescue when someone asks about Lambo doors. It really is about what they want, and not what you want. I, like them, wanted badly to fit into the elitist community here, but I found better people on here that I like more. I used to hound on people for asking those types of questions because I wanted to fit in pretty bad. BTW, if you didn't know, this community is VERY hard to get into. It is NOT newbie friendly. But I realized that fitting in with these people is impossible for me because I'm not like them. I didn't like being a prick to new people who ask sorta dumb questions. I like answering those questions and helping them. DE is one of the guys who I really enjoy conversing in a thread with.

This forum is great. Im glad to post here and the knowledge is beyond valuable. The car is great and can do most things well. The package of capability it represents for the price is fantastic. Ive owned much more expensive vehicles and when Im in the Z Im not thinking about them Rant away amigo's we live once but in the end we must take care of each other! |

Truth. Maybe even before the beginning of the forum.

My only suggestion for members that get bent out of shape easily? Is to just RELAX!!!
Life's more important than to getting rattled because NEW members are asking simple moronic questions, BUT I understand |

New member here, but long time member on the Corvette forum, and the Viper forum. Talk about eating their young! Try the Viper guys. Lots of great info, but it's not the place to hang if your thin skinned....
All car forums have a ton of similarities, and this place doesn't seem much different. A good mix of great info, lack of hitting the search button, and some good old harassment! Rock on.... Really enjoying the new Z btw. Not the HP I've become used to, but the handling is great. I think it will prove to be a much better daily driver than the Z06 or the Viper were..... |

I really wish I could find that pic of him painting the yard in his wife beater. I looked for hours, it's just buried so deep it's a lost cause.

i gotta say, if this forum gets under your skin, never try another forum... hell the volvo forum i'm on is 10x worse. this is BY FAR the easiest going forum i've been on.. seriously, its pretty decent. always active, easy to get a straight forward answer. but dumb questions and posts will get jumped. for instance, if i bought a mustang, i wouldn't get on the mustang forum and make a thread like "how come this car isn't as good as a ZL1" or "which exhaust makes my car fastest".
a lil common sense goes a long way on the interwebz also, which is better, the brz or my z?
