what is your choice of slr camera

Started with Canon XTi, bought a T1i if I had the extra cash at the time I would have purchased a Nikon D90.

Canon 5D. Can't beat a full frame sensor.

5D cru holla

can't go wrong with either side really OP, however, from everything i've read the D90 is a better, more entry user friendly camera compared to the D5000, even tho they do basically the same thing, have basically the same specs, the D90 is set up to be easier to get better pictures starting out. also i've heard the image quality is a little superior. but this is just what i've read on the forums. for what it's worth a good used D200 nikon or 30D canon will take you really far. it's more about the lenses than the body. as long as it has the features you want (live view, video, etc). also, try them out in person at a best buy or camera store nearby. if you are still on the fence you can rent a camera body and lens from lensrentals.com from each brand to decide but that would get pretty pricey...
